Coach Herb Sendek
Thoughts on the three seniors play tonight:
"I was really proud of our three seniors and I thought each of them really contributed a great deal. I thought Jamelle's defensive effort, his deflections, his steals, his energy really set the tone on that end of the floor. Rik and Ty got hot from behind the arc, and Jamelle hit three three-pointers that seemed very timely when momentum was swinging in the balance. Those three guys deserve a lot of credit, they did a great job with the season."
On the last home weekend for the seniors:
"They've enjoyed great careers and this year has been very challenging. To see them have a night like tonight during their last home weekend makes all of us feel really good."
On Oregon's pressure game:
"I thought we did a pretty good job handling Oregon's pressure. As much as anything for us was our defense tonight; we held them under 30 percent field goal percentage and forced 16 turnovers of our own. I think our guys gave good defensive effort."
Asked about teams resilience at home :
"Our guys have done a good job in the last two home wins when other teams have made their run of keeping their composure."
Thoughts on Kyle Cain :
"I thought he really battled in the post. Obviously rebounding has been a challenge for our team. So when a guy gets eight rebounds in a game like he did, we celebrate and think about giving him the game ball."
On how it felt winning tonight's game:
"Well it feels good for a couple of shooters. We just knew how to attack it and we knew what they were going to do. We were well prepared coming into tonight. It felt good to weather the storm tonight. I think we did pretty good, we were really physical. We wanted to show (Oregon) that it wasn't just one on one down low."
On how important it was to perform well and win these last few games of the regular season:
"We definitely wanted to get these last two wins, so that we as a team end on somewhat of a positive note. You don't ever want to go out losing your last game and thankfully we are going out winning one of ours, and using that momentum to win the second game."
On the emotions he has felt during these last few games and if it has affected him at all:
"Not really. I came out today really wanting to play and win, and that is the focus. It is pretty much just a game and you really want to win. That's really all it is, if you think about it. It is your last game, you might as well win it.
On how he feels being a senior and knowing this was one of his last games:
"I can't believe it is here, it's knocking on our door. But we knew it was going to come and like I said earlier, we just want to win."
Senior forward Rihards Kuksiks
On how he felt playing during tonight's game despite his absence:
"I was real tired the second half, I'm not going to lie. But I feel great, I mean we won the game by 20 points."
