NEW ORLEANS, La.--Leading the way with her highest career finish, Junior Giulia Molinaro led the 10th ranked Arizona State women's golf team to a seventh place finish at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship in New Orleans, La.
Molinaro ended the tournament on a high note shooting a 70 in the third round to tie for fifth place. The junior's previous best finish came last year at the UCLA/Pepperdine Invitational where she finished tied for seventh. For the tournament, Molinaro shot a 2-under 214 (71-73-70).
As a team, Arizona State shot 18-over for the tournament finishing with a team total of 882 (293-299-290). In its previous two tournaments, ASU had finished in third place at the Wildcat Invitational and second place at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
Next up, the Sun Devils host New Mexico and Arizona in a tri-meet at Wigwam Golf Course in Phoenix.
