PALO ALTO, Calif.--The Arizona State women's gymnastics team fell to Stanford in a dual meet against the No. 2 ranked Cardinal, 196.825-192.375, on the road in Palo Alto.
The Sun Devils best performance on the day came on floor with four scores running 9.70 and above. Nickie Johnson led ASU in the event, scoring a 9.85 with her sharp, high-energy routine. On floor Arizona State scored a 48.850.
Also strong for ASU was the vaulting of freshman Sammie Seaman. Seaman nailed her landing off vault scoring a 9.850, tying for the second-highest vault score of the meet.
The Sun Devils next travel to Nebraska to take on the Cornhuskers on Mar. 6 in Lincoln.
