Second round results in PDF Format
The ninth-ranked men's golf team recorded a 21-over par 301 and is in 15th place after the second day of the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational with a 37-over par 597 (296-301). Senior James Byrne fired a 5-over par 75 and sits atop the leaderboard for the Sun Devils in a tie for 36th with a 6-over par 146 (71-75).
Junior Philip Francis sits tied for 43rd at 7-over par 147 (71-76) after shooting a 6-over par 76 and senior Thomas Buran shot a 3-over par 73, ASU's lowest round of the day, to finish tied for 56th at 9-over par 149 (76-73). Senior Scott Pinckney, who notched a 7-over par 77, is in 74th at 15-over par 155 (78-77), while senior Jesper Kennegard is in 75th at 21-over par 161 (80-81).
The University of Florida is in first place with an even-par 560 (280-280) after shooting an even-par 280 for the second consecutive round. Oklahoma State (286-280) and defending national champion Augusta State (280-286) are tied for second place at 6-over par 566. Stanford is in eighth at 15-over par 575 (287-288), while the University of California Berkley is in 13th at 26-over par 586 (290-296).
