TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Briann January scored 12 of her 14 points in the first half as Arizona State won its eighth consecutive game by beating Oregon 68-56 Thursday night.

Danielle Orsillo added 13 points, Dymond Simon 12 and Becca Tobin had 11 points and six rebounds for the Sun Devils (16-6, 8-2 Pac-10).

Arizona State's streak is its longest since winning nine straight in 2007. The Sun Devils won a school-best 10 straight games during the 2005-06 season.

Micaela Cocks had 16 points to lead Oregon (8-13, 4-6), which has lost 4 of its last five games.

The Sun Devils' pressure defense forced the Ducks into 26 turnovers, leading to 31 points.

Arizona State ran off nine straight points to take a 52-33 lead with 12:42 remaining and Oregon did not get closer than 12 until the final minute.
