The Arizona State men's golf team is tied for fifth after the second round of the Olympia Field Invitational behind a career-best 67 from sophomore Scott Pinckney (Anthem, Ariz.). Pinckney is tied for second at even-par 140 (73-67) after shooting a collegiate career-best of 3-under 67 Saturday.

ASU is at 23-over 583 (296-287), 11 shots back of leader Oklahoma State who is at 572 (291-281)

Pinckney played in four tournaments (12 rounds) last year and had a 73.91 stroke average but posted four birdies on the back nine as he is two shots back of Penn State's Kevin Foley with 18 holes to play on Sunday. His previous career best was a 70 three times last year.

Sophomore Stephan Gross is at 7-over 147 (77-70), former Hamilton High School (Chandler, Ariz.) freshman Chan Kim, competing in his first collegeiate tournament, is at 10-over 150 along with honorable mention All-American Jesper Kennegard (74-76). Sophomore Jed Dirksen is at 11-over 11-over 151 (73-78).
