On the turnaround from last night's performance:
"Today was a different day and we rallied around the early runs today. I think you saw a very good team today. We talked about being very offensively potent and how we'd have to play our game in order to beat them, which we did today, we played our game and the outcome was markedly different. Again, you heard them yesterday calmly say that we did not play softball. There was no panic, today was the mentality that we've been working to get to. They weren't stressed, they were relaxed and laughing and that's when we play our best."
On Katie Burkhart's performance:
"Katie Burkhart is phenomenal. When she gets in the circle there's a sense of confidence and you know that she's going to go out and compete with every pitch. She two hit a very offensively potent team and that speaks a lot of her. The success we've had this year speaks to what she's done and the senior this year. They've gotten it done.
On playing behind Katie Burkhart:
"It puts a lot of confidence in our defense and in a way our offense because we trust her. I've seen her through thick and thin and I know what she can do. It charges us up to play behind her."
On yesterday's performance to todays:
"I came back today and realized I had to just let it go and play my game. I came back and redeemed myself. I played today the way I expect myself to every game."
On the player's preparation for today:
"We pushed too hard yesterday and didn't play like we usually do. The team stepped back to talk and we discussed how we need to start playing like we want to be and deserve to be in in two weeks."
