The Arizona State Men's golf team moved up the leaderboard on the final day and finished fourth at National Invitational Tournament in Tucson. The Sun Devils shot 5-under as a team on the final day to finish with a 2-over 866 (290-293-283). Jesper Kennegard lead the final round charge to finish tied for fifth and a 5-under 211 (70-74-67). TCU won the team title with a 10-under 854 (275-290-289). There was a three-way tie for the individual title at 8-under. Nicholas Geiger of Tulsa, David Markle of Kent State, and Ben Moser of Houston shared the medallist honors.
Sophomore James Byrne tied for 31st with a 4-over 220 (75-73-72) and Stephen Gross finished tied for 34th with a 5-over 221 (75-74-72). Freshman Cameron Edens finished up the young lineup tied for 48th with an 8-over 224 (74-72-78).
The Sun Devils will hit the course again April 11-13 as they host the ASU Thunderbird Invitational. Visit thesundevils.com for tournament times and information.
