Coach Herb Sendek
On Washington State's success in the final stretch of the first half and start of the second:
"Well, there are a number of sequences that it would be very difficult to go through it line by line. I thought a big play in the game was right at the end of the half, the 3-second call, while we're dribbling out front, probably 40 feet from the basket. So we don't score a 2 or a potential 3, they get one last possession, come down and with 1.8 [seconds left] beat us on the second cut on the out of bounds play."
On the last play of the game:
"We got James [Harden], who's having a terrific half, going hard to the basket, he got two feet in the paint, he was at the rim..."
On their offensive balance:
"We don't have great scoring balance right now. Ideally that's what you want to be able to project."
On the team's 3-point shooting struggles:
"We have not shot a high percentage through Pac-10 play. I think the early games that we won, I think we did so shooting a very low percentage from 3."
On how the team handled Washington State's double teams on Jeff Pendergraph:
"I thought we did pretty well with that. The guys executed that fairly well. I think maybe we had one turnover versus the double, and we got some pretty good looks."
On his shot on the final play of the game:
"[Coach Sendek] gave me the ball and I just drove all the way. Unfortunately I didn't come up with that basket."
On if his injury felt better than Thursday:
"When the game is on, I don't really pay attention. I just play, try to help my teammates come out with a victory. Today was a little bit better, got out and ran the floor a little bit better."
On the mood of the team now:
"We still have confidence. Our first two losses we didn't play well. Today was just a hard-fought game. We had a couple lapses where they got some easy baskets and some easy 3's. We're still playing real well. We just have to step our intensity up."
