, - Krista Donnenwirth went 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Katie Burkhart struck out nine and allowed only three hits as the No. 1 ASU Softball team rolled on topping No. 4 UCLA 3-0 Friday night in . The win gives ASU a 43-2 overall record and a flawless 7-0 Pac-10 record. UCLA falls to 35-4 and 7-1 in conference action.

The Sun Devil offense decided to come out early against the Bruins as Kaitlin Cochran led off the first with a single to left field where she was slapped to second by Jackie Vasquez before Pac-10 RBI leader Krista Donnenwirth dug in to hit a 1-2 single to right to plate Cochran and give ASU the 1-0 lead.

The fourth inning proved to be fruitful for ASU as well as freshman designated player Lesley Rogers took a 2-1 pitch deep to right field for her first career home run and only the fourth home run on Anjelica Selden this season.

The Sun Devils weren't done yet though, as the bottom of the sixth showed why Krista Donnenwirth owns the Pac-10 RBI title. With Jackie Vasquez on first, Donnenwirth nailed a 1-2 pitch down the left line for a stand up double which brought around Jackie Vasquez to set the score at it's final of 3-0.

UCLA wasn't about to go quietly as they hit two singles to lead off the seventh in a rally that was quickly quieted with a 4-3 double play pulled off by Mindy Cowles and Mandy Urfer followed up with yet another Burkhart strikeout to end it.

Katie Burkhart had another stellar outing as she threw an amazing three-hit gem against the potent UCLA line-up with nine strikeouts for her Pac-10 leading 24th win of the season.

The Sun Devils continue their Pac-10 slate tomorrow night as they take on the No. 23 Washington Huskies at 7 p.m. PT. The game will be aired live on Fox Sports Net at Farrington Stadium.
