Final Stats

The No. 15 Sun Devil women's gymnastics team won their second away meet of the year defeating the Washington Huskies 194.475-194.100. The Sun Devils took first, second and third in the all-around. Tiana Jean won the all-around competition with a score of 38.825. Nicole Harris and Francesca Mercurio placed second and third with scores of 38.625 and 38.325 respectively.

Starting off on bars, the Sun Devils posted a 48.625 to beat out the Huskies' score of 48.5. Harris led the Sun Devils with a nice 9.825 to win the apparatus. Tia Orlando was the next highest scoring Devil with a solid 9.775 to tie for second. Jean, who is currently ranked 23rd on bars, posted 9.75 on bars. Freshmen Mercurio and Beaté Jones recorded scores of 9.650 and 9.625 respectively. The Huskies scored a 48.5 on bars.

On vault, the Sun Devils posted their third-highest team score of the season with a 48.875. Freshman Jones led the team, tying her career-best with a 9.825 to place second overall. Hinkle, who currently holds the team's best vault score of the season, hit her vault with a 9.8. Atkinson recorded a solid 9.775, while Mercurio and Jean posted scores of 9.750 and 9.725 respectively. The Huskies recorded a 48.725.

The Sun Devils recorded their third-highest floor score of the season, compiling a 48.825. Harris led the Devils by tying her career-high with a 9.9, following a beautiful routine. Her score of 9.9 is the highest Sun Devil floor score of the season. Hinkle, who has been averaging over a 9.8 on floor this season, followed with a 9.825. Jones tumbled her way to a 9.775, while Mercurio hit her routine with a 9.7. Jean, who had a slight stumble on her last pass, posted a 9.650. The Huskies recorded 48.3 on floor.

The Sun Devils, currently ranked fifth in the country on beam, had to count a fall and posted their lowest beam score of the season, a 48.15. Orlando, the team's anchor on the event, performed a near-perfect routine to score a career-best 9.875 and win the apparatus. Hinkle, ranked 18th nationally on beam, was the next highest-scoring Devil with a 9.75. Jean recorded a solid 9.725. Sophomore Kaitlynn Bormann stumbled slightly in her routine and scored a 9.575. Harris and Mercurio both fell in their routine and both received scores of 9.225. The Huskies won beam with a 48.575.

The Sun Devils return to Wells Fargo Arena next week. They will host Stanford, San Jose State and Wisconsin Oshkosh in UNO's Flip for the Cure. The meet is on Friday, Feb. 29 at 7:00 p.m.
