The ASU Men's golf team finished the fall season today at the Isleworth Invitational in Orlando, Florida. The Sun Devils finished the tournament in 16th place with a 31-over 895 (296-298-301). Sophomore Knut Borsheim led the team with a 5-over 221 (72-76-73).
The tournament title went to the University of Georgia who blew away the field with a 23-under 841 (291-275-275). Harris English of Georgia also won the individual title with an 11-under 205. He shot a 6-under 66 in the final round to take the lead on the final day.
Freshman James Byrne shot a 7-over 223 (74-72-77), freshman Jesper Kennegard turned in a 13-over 229 (80-74-75) and junior Steele DeWald rounded out the Sun Devils with a 37-over 253 (82-82-89).
The Sun Devils will now head back to Tempe and practice for the heart of their season in the spring. They will be back in action on February 6-8 at the Big Island Invitational in Kona, Hawai'i.
