PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Robbie Cowgill scored 16 points to lead Washington State to a 75-55 victory over Arizona State on Thursday night.
Derrick Low added 14 points and seven assists for the Cougars (13-2, 2-1 Pacific-10). Daven Harmeling and Caleb Forrest each scored 11 points for Washington State.
Jeff Pendergraph went 8 for 8 from the field and led Arizona State (6-8, 0-3) with 16 points and seven rebounds. Christian Polk scored 13 points, all in the first half, in ASU's fourth consecutive loss.
The Cougars used 9-0 runs midway through the first half and early in the second half to pull away from Arizona State.
The Cougars sank seven of their first eight shots, including their first four 3-pointers.
The Sun Devils shot 54.8 percent from the field, slightly better than Washington State's 54.2 percent. However, WSU had a 22-7 advantage in points off turnovers and a 16-6 edge in turnovers.
WSU went 8 for 16 on 3-pointers. Low sank 4 of 5 3-pointers, and Harmeling hit 3 of 4.
Pendergraph is averaging 13.3 points and 10.5 rebounds in the past eight games.
