Tucson, Ariz. - The Arizona State men's golf team finished in seventh place at the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz. The Sun Devils shot a 2-under 850 (287-281-282). UNLV finished in first place after shooting a 23-under 829.

Senior All-American Niklas Lemke led the Sun Devils after shooting a 7-under 206 to tie for fifth place. Lemke shot a 67 in both the first and second rounds.

Sophomore Benjamin Alvarado Holley tied for 23rd, shooting a 1-under 212 (73-67-72). Freshman Knut Borsheim shot a 7-over 220 (71-74-75) to tie for 50th. Freshman Tristan Bierenbroodspot shot a 9-over 222 (76-80-66) to finish 54th. Senior Fredrik Andersson finished in a tie for 65th after shooting a 13-over 226 (81-73-72).

Playing as an individual, freshman Steele DeWald shot a 63 in final round of the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate, a new career low. DeWald's previous career low was 69, which he shot at the Ping/Golfweek Preview on October 3, 2006. DeWald finished in a tie for 23rd.

Next up, the Sun Devils travel to Kona, Hawaii to compete in the Big Island Invitational, February 7-9.
