LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Led by sophomore All-American Azahara Munoz, who tied her career-low round of 67, the Arizona State women's golf team is in second place at the 2006 Las Vegas Founders Collegiate Showdown, with a two-day total of 5-over 581. Oklahoma State took over first place with a 4-under 572. The Sun Devils had previously shared the top spot with the Cowboys in the first round.

Munoz, who is competing in her first tournament since tying for third at the 2006 Women's World Amateur, tied her career-low round of a 5-under 67 by carding five birdies and no bogies on the day. She is currently tied for first with a 5-under 139. Munoz had previously shot a 67 at the 2006 PING/ASU Intercollegiate. On Monday, she also shot an eagle on the par-four hole nine.

Also competing for the ASU was sophomore All-American Jennifer Osborn who shot a 2-over 146 (74-72) to tie for 15th. Freshman Anna Nordqvist, who also competed in the Women's World Amateur, is tied for 19th after shooting a 3-over 147 (73-74). Junior Camila Sola shot a 7-over 151 (75-76) to tie for 44th and freshman Juliana Murcia shot a 10-over 154 (73-81) to tie for 58th.
