LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The third-ranked Arizona State University women's golf team is tied for first place after the first round of the 2006 Las Vegas Founders Collegiate Showdown. The Sun Devils shot a 4-over 292 to tie with Oklahoma State for the lead.

Individually, Azahara Munoz led ASU. The sophomore All-American, who recently tied for third place at the 2006 Women's World Amateur, shot an even-par 72 to tie for 11th place. Freshmen Juliana Murcia and Anna Nordqvist tied for 21st after shooting a 1-over 73. Sophomore All-American Jennifer Osborn shot a 2-over 74 to tie for 27th. Junior Camila Sola tied for 39th after carding a 3-over 75.

The tournament, which is held at the par-72, 6,175-yard Anthem Country Club, will continue second and third round play Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
