LOS ANGELES, Calif. - For the second time on its weekend road trip through California, the No. 8 Arizona State University water polo team sustained a tough one-goal loss, this time falling to No. 4 Loyola Marymount, 7-6, Sunday morning in Los Angeles, Calif. The loss, the third in a row for the Sun Devils, pushed the team's record to 10-6 overall (2-2 MPSF).

Both team opened the game with a pair of goals in the first quarter before the Sun Devils added two more in the second stanza to hold a 4-3 lead at the intermission. The Lions struck back with two goals in the third to reclaim the lead, 5-4, before both teams again added two goals each in the fourth for the final score.
