TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Malik Hairston scored 22 points and Chamberlain Oguchi added 20 on Saturday to lead Oregon past Arizona State 98-87 in Pac-10 play, snapping a six-game losing streak.
Oguchi, who averages 6.3 points a game, made six of his first seven 3-point shots in helping the Ducks (11-14, 5-8) build a 20-point second half lead. Arizona State (9-13, 3-10) got within seven in the final two minutes.
Sylvester Seay had a career-high 21 points. Jeff Pendergraph also had a career-high 21 for the Sun Devils, who had won two in a row for the first time since December.
Maarty Leunen had 17 points and six rebounds while Aaron Brooks added 18 points and five rebounds for Oregon, which held on to sole possession of seventh place in the Pac-10.
Kevin Kruger made four of six of 3-pointers for 14 points for the Sun Devils, who remained tied with Oregon State at the bottom of the league standings.
The Ducks scored 11 straight points - six by Brooks - near the end of the first half to take a 42-29 lead at halftime.
Oguchi had 11 points, including 3-for-4 from beyond the 3-point line. Sylvester Seay had seven points and four rebounds for the Sun Devils. Arizona State missed 13 of its last 17 shots in the half while Oregon was making 14 of 26 from the field, including six of 12 beyond the arc.
Oregon finished the night 29 of 49 (59 percent), including 11 of 21 from beyond the 3-point line.
The poorest free-throw shooting team in the conference, Oregon made its first 11 foul shots, hitting 29 of 33 for the night.
Oregon had lost its last five games by a combined 18 points, including a 70-68 loss to Arizona on Thursday.
The Ducks beat the Sun Devils in Eugene 67-53 on Jan. 12.
