HANOVER, N.H. - For the second match in a row, the Arizona State University soccer team surrendered an early goal before rebounding to tally a late strike and force overtime. Unlike Friday, however, the Sun Devils were unable to escape without a loss as host Dartmouth scored the golden goal in the first overtime session to take a 2-1 victory in the final match of the adidas/Hypertherm Classic in Hanover, N.H. The loss dropped ASU to 4-3-1 overall on the season while DU improved to 4-2-0.

The Big Green opened the scoring in the first half of play as Sarah Johnson found the back of the net at the 25:57 mark following a loose ball scramble in front of the net. ASU nearly tied the game before the intermission, but a shot by Elizabeth Bogus (Sr., Sandy, Utah) with under three minutes remaining hit the cross bar and stayed out of the net.

With under three minutes in the match, Bogus again found herself with the ball and an opportunity to tie the score, and did just that at the 87:45 mark. DU keeper Laurel Peek came out of the box to try and stop the ball, but Bogus created space and gave herself a wide-open net where she placed the ball for her sixth goal of the season. In the extra session, Christina Ferraris gave the hosts the win with her strike at 92:49.

Bogus moved closer to the top of the Sun Devil record books again Sunday as her goal gave her 26 for her career and moved her one tally away from tying Patrice Feulner for second on the ledger. Her two points earned also gave her sole possession of third place with 66 career points, just five behind Feulner for second.

One match awaits the Sun Devils this weekend as they play host to the UC Santa Barbara at 7 p.m. Friday night inside Sun Devil Soccer Stadium. US Women's National Team member Abby Wombach will be on hand for the contest and will serve as a guest coach for ASU.
