Led by Freshman Jennifer Osborn, the Arizona State University women's golf team finished in second place at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational held Monday-Wednesday, October 10-12 in Sammamish, Wash. at the par-72, 6,190-yard Sahalee Country Club.
ASU carded a nine-over 297 in Wednesday's final round for a three-day total of 892. The Sun Devils were just one stroke off the leader Pepperdine. Pepperdine won the tournament with a three-round total of 891. Southern California, UNLV, Arizona, and Stanford all placed after Arizona State, respectively.
Individually, Osborn carded a one-under 73 on Wednesday to finish the tournament in first place. This is Osborn's first collegiate first place finish.
Freshman Azahara Munoz carded a nine-over 225 to tie for ninth place. Alissa Kuczka and Tiffany Tavee shot a 12-over 228 to tie for 15th. Lindsay Anderson tied for 15th overall after shooting an 18-over 234.
ASU returns to action for the Stanford/Pepsi Intercollegiate held in Stanford, Calif. Oct. 21-23.
