*The Sun Devils ended Stanford's 18-game home win streak and ended a streak of 13 straight Cardinal wins over ASU dating to Jan. 31, 1998.
*ASU jumped out to a 39-31 halftime lead and stretched the lead to 19 (68-49) in the second half.
*Ike Diogu made his first six shots from the field and finished with 28 points and 15 rebounds, his eighth double-double in the past 11 games and fifth straight 20-point game.
*ASU has not been in a situation to sweep the Bay Area road trip since 1992-93, as Thursday's win marks the first time ASU had won the initial game of this road trip since a 75-71 win at Stanford on March 4, 1993.
*Diogu's national-best consecutive games in double-figures scoring streak is up to 73 games (every game of his career). He now has eight 30-point games (three this year), 39 20-point games (10 this year), 23 double-doubles (eight this year) and 12 other games with nine rebounds. He also has posted 39 blocks. Diogu is 552-of-694 (.795) from the free throw line in his career.
KRUGER, THEN AND NOW: Sophomore Kevin Kruger is 29-of-62 (.468) from the three-point stripe and has notched double digits in six games. He provided a spark in the final nine games last year, averaging 29.0 minutes, 12.4 points and shooting 27-of-59 (.448) from the three-point stripe. He was the team's second-leading scorer in those nine games. After shooting 4-of-27 (.148) from the three-point stripe in the first 18 games of his career, he is 56-of-120 (.467) in his past 23 contests. He posted a season-high 17 points vs. Valparaiso and had a career-high 22 at Arizona last year. His 46.8 percent from the three-point stripe is currently second in ASU history for a single-season.
*MORE DIOGU: Ike Diogu's national-best double figure scoring streak of 73 games still has a ways to go until it reaches NCAA-record levels. The NCAA record is 115 set by La Salle's Lionel Simmons from 1987-90. Diogu's lowest point total in his career was 10 against Morehead State on Nov. 22, 2003, the first game of his career.
*OLD SCHOOL THREES: Ike Diogu has been fouled when making a shot 75 times in his career and has made 57-of-75 (.760) of the free throws that followed.
