Philadelphia (AP) - Ike Diogu scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, and Serge Angounou had 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds to lead Arizona State to a 65-62 win over Temple on Tuesday night.

Diogu grabbed nine offensive boards, a career-high, while Angounou played a career-high 34 minutes. It marked the eighth 40-minute game for Diogu in his career, and his 64th straight game in double digits, the best active streak in the nation.

It marked the first time two Sun Devil grabbed at least 10 boards in a game since March 6, 2003, when Ike Diogu (14) and Tommy Smith (10) notched the feat against Oregon.

Mark Tyndale and Dustin Salisbury each scored 15 points for Temple.

Temple (1-3) had its chances late in the game, but ASU senior point guard Jason Braxton had two key steals and Steve Moore hit a pair of late free throws.

The Owls had a chance to take the lead with 35 seconds left, but Braxton had a big steal. Arizona State (4-1) then sank a couple of free throws to go up three.

After the two teams traded free throws to put Arizona State up 65-62, Salisbury shot a 3-pointer wide at the buzzer, allowing the Sun Devils to escape with the victory.

Steve Moore scored 13 points and Kevin Kruger had 12 for Arizona State. Kruger is now 11-of-22 (.500) from the three-point stripe on the year.

The Sun Devils outrebounded Temple 55-38 and grabbed 25 offensive rebounds. ASU held the Owls to just 32.3 percent field goal shooting, including just 9-of-33 (.273) in the second half.

Diogu continued his great play for ASU, as he is averaging 23.2 points and 9.8 rebounds and is 33-of-50 (.660) from the floor and 50-of-57 (.877) from the free throw line through the first five games.

ASU takes on Cal State Northridge Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
