SEATTLE, Wash. -- The No. 1 Washington Huskies won their 22nd straight match this season with a three-game sweep of visiting Arizona State Friday night in Pac-10 Volleyball action at Bank of America Pavilion. Game scores were 30-28, 30-17, 30-23 in favor of the Huskies.

UW improved to a perfect 22-0 overall and 14-0 in Pac-10 play. Arizona State had its two-match win streak snapped to fall to 10-14 overall and 5-10 in league play.

Sophomore outside hitter Nicole Morton (Bonsall, Calif.) led the Sun Devils with 15 kills on a .353 hitting percentage. In two matches against the top-ranked Huskies this season, Morton totaled 33 kills in six games (5.50 kpg).

Junior outside hitter Sarah Watkins (Mishawaka, Ind.) added nine kills and freshman libero Sydney Donahue (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) recorded a team-high 16 digs. Freshman middle blocker Staci Smith (Gresham, Ore.), sophomore middle blocker Tierra Burnley (Santa Clarita, Calif.) and freshman setter Rachel Mittelstaedt (Phoenix, Ariz.) led ASU with three blocks each. Mittelstaedt also contributed 32 assists and eight digs.

The Huskies were led by 15 kills from junior outside hitter Brie Hagerty and 14 kills from freshman outside hitter Christal Morrison. Pac-10 digs leader Candace Lee had 25 digs and sophomore setter Courtney Thompson had 45 assists.

Arizona State returns home next weekend to start a season-ending three-match home stand. The Sun Devils host rival Arizona next Friday (Nov. 19, 7 p.m.) at Wells Fargo Arena.
