TEMPE, Ariz. (www.TheSunDevils.com) -- The Arizona State Sun Devils were swept in straight sets by the No. 10 UCLA Bruins Saturday night in Pac-10 Volleyball action at Wells Fargo Arena. Game scores were 30-18, 30-28, 30-22 in favor of the Bruins.

Arizona State lost its fourth straight match to fall to 5-7 overall and 0-4 in Pac-10 play. UCLA completed its sweep of the Arizona schools to improve to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in league play.

Junior outside hitter Sarah Watkins (Mishawaka, Ind.) led the Sun devils with 10 kills. Sophomore outside hitter Nina Reeves (Gilbert, Ariz.) added five kills, two blocks and 10 digs in the loss. Led by four blocks each from freshman middle blocker Colette Meek (Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada) and freshmen setter Rachel Mittelstaedt (Phoenix, Ariz.), the Sun Devils out-blocks UCLA 13.0-9.5.

Middle blocker Nana Meriwether led the Bruins with 13 kills on a .455 hitting percentage. Brynn Murphy and Heather Cullen added 11 and 12 kills respectively. All-Pac-10 Libero Chrissie Zartman led all players with 16 digs.

The Sun Devils travel to Oregon next weekend to take on the Oregon Ducks on Friday, Oct. 8 and the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday, Oct. 9. They return home the following weekend to host Washington (Oct. 15, 7 p.m.) and Washington State (Oct. 16, 7 p.m.).
