AUSTIN, Texas. - The Arizona State women's golf team climbed to 15th place at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on Monday behind another solid round from freshman Tiffany Tavee (Gilbert, Ariz.). The Sun Devils shot 14 strokes better during the second round (342-328=670) while Tavee shot an eight-over 80 to move up into a tie for 20th.
Sophomore Alissa Kuczka (Phoenix, Ariz.) shot an 11-over (84-83=167) and is tied for 54th, junior Erin Tone (Gilbert, Ariz.) was 10-over for the day (88-82=170) and is tied for 68th, freshman Lindsay Anderson (El Paso, Texas) is in a tie for 77th (90-83=173) after an 11-over and junior Nicole Deacon is in 91st after a round of 94 (93-94=187).
Play concludes tomorrow at the Betsy Rawls Invitational. Texas leads the team competition (309-317=626) by a stroke over UNLV (313-314=627) while Vanderbilt's Chris Brady (72-77=149, +5) remains at the top of the individual leaderboard.
