TEMPE, Ariz. - The No. 17 Arizona State women's soccer team (6-1-1) kept up their unbeaten home record going with a 2-0 blanking of the New Mexico Lobos on Saturday night, which was also the Sun Devils' third consecutive shutout. Brittany Cooper got her team-leading sixth goal of the year for the Sun Devils and Elizabeth Bogus notched her fourth as ASU shut out their fifth opponent of the season. Patrice Feulner assisted both goals.

Cooper, a native of Albuquerque, N.M., got the home team on the board after 11 minutes. Feulner sent a looping cross to the far post of New Mexico keeper Kristen Winters' goal, where Cooper was waiting to nod home the opener.

The rest of the first half was scoreless, but the 536 in attendance barely had time to settle in their seats after halftime, as Bogus doubled ASU's lead 21 seconds into the second period. Feulner found Bogus 30 yards from the Lobos' goal and the sophomore did the rest, outpacing the UNM defense and sliding home her shot to the left of Winters.

Arizona State dictated the pace of the game for long stretches and outshot New Mexico 16-6 on the evening. The Sun Devils travel to San Diego next weekend, where they take on San Diego State on Friday and San Diego on Sunday.
