TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Nicole Powell had 26 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two blocked shots as No. 9 Stanford beat Arizona State 63-53 Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
The Cardinal (23-4, 15-3) clinched the regular-season title last week and will be the top seed in next week's Pac-10 tournament in San Jose, Calif.
Arizona State (15-12, 7-11) finished eighth in the conference.
The Sun Devils got to 44-42 with 9:30 left until Chelsea Trotter hit a basket, Kelley Suminski made two of three free throws and Powell converted a three-point play to give Stanford a 51-42 advantage.
Arizona State never got closer than five. Kylan Loney had 13 points and eight assists for the Sun Devils, who had won four straight at home.
The Sun Devils committed 17 turnovers and shot just 36 percent (17-of-47).
Arizona State took a 10-3 lead before Powell entered the game. Stanford went on a 13-2 run while Arizona State went cold, missing eight straight shots and going 4-of-18. Stanford finished the half on a 15-5 run to take a 33-21 lead, their biggest of the game.
Powell had 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in first half.
