Arizona State 70, Temple 66

Recap| Final Stats

Quoting ASU Head Coach Rob Evans:
"Steve Moore is a tough kid. He made some turnovers and made some mistakes early in the ball game. It was bothering him a little and I pulled him aside during the timeout and said, 'You're going to do something to win this ballgame for us,' and sure enough, he did. It was tough to decide what to do at the end of the game there."

"We fought back to get the lead, and we were up two. They were trying for the steal, and he just found an opening and got us the winning bucket. Our team has a lot to be proud of, we were down for most of the game and fought back to stay in the game. We made mistakes, but we were able to overcome them and give us a chance to win the game."

"This win means an awful lot for us. To get a win over a storied program like Temple and a hall of fame coach like John Chaney is just huge for us. They through a match-up zone at us that gave us problems all night and they doubled and tripled Ike. But we fought through it and were able to get the ball down to Ike anyway."

"This was a big building block for our program and a good win for our young team. We're going to take the break for final exams and come back with good momentum to take into the Pac-10 season."

Quoting Temple Head John Chaney:
"I don't come on the road to be robbed. Anytime you take the ball from one of my players who is standing on the side of the pivot and calling five seconds, or 10 seconds, it's ridiculous. I don't play good teams for this. This is a good team. They didn't need this. They shot 37 foul shots and we shot 16. That's awful. I thought I was playing the Phoenix Suns."
