TEMPE, Ariz. -- The No. 11 Washington Huskies swept the Arizona State Sun Devils on senior night Saturday in Pac-10 Volleyball action at Wells Fargo Arena. ASU honored its five seniors, Cheryl Anglin, Kim Mehlhorn, Mandy Stephens, Courtney Blocher and Jodi Proctor, before the match.

The night started out with the Sun Devils getting off to an early deficit, but on Senior Night they were able to battle back and give the Huskies a run for their money, losing game one by only two points, 32-30. UW followed with wins of 30-26 and 30-21 to end the regular season with a 19-8 record overall and a 10-8 mark in Pac-10 play.

Arizona State junior outside hitter Natalie Harris recorded 12 kills to lead the Sun Devils. She was followed by sophomore Sarah Watkins, who had 11 on a .375 attack percentage. In her final game as a Sun Devil, Cheryl Anglin had 24 assists for a career total of 4,250, ranking second in ASU history for assists. Courtney Blocher led ASU with 13 digs, finishing 10th in the ASU record books with 1,173 career digs.

Senior middle blocker Mandy Stephens finished with nine kills on a .389 hitting percentage (9-2-18) and finished the season with an ASU record .383 attack percentage.

The leading hitter for the Huskies was Sanja Tomasevic, who had 17 kills, and also recorded eight digs. Brie Hagerty had 12 kills for the Huskies, and Courtney Thompson led all player with 40 assists.

The Sun Devils finished the inaugural season under head coach Brad Saindon with a record of 9-18 overall, and 4-14 in the Pac-10.
