  • The All-Time Series: With the win tonight the Cal Bears improved to 6-4 overall in 2002 and evened their Pac-10 record at 3-3. ASU had won five of the last six in the series and had a five-game home winning streak snapped against Cal. The last time Cal won at Sun Devil Stadium before tonight was a 31-24 victory in 1990. ASU still holds a 13-10 advantage in the all-time series.

The former school record of 19 sacks were set by Al Harris in 1979 and the Pac-10 mark was shared by Arizona's Tedy Bruschi (1993) and USC's Tim Ryan (1989).
