TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Alton Mason scored on a drive with 4 seconds left to lift Arizona State to a 61-59 victory over Oregon State on Saturday.

The game was tied at 59 when Mason, a senior playing his final home game at Arizona State (13-14 overall, 5-11 Pac 10), drove the right side of the lane and scored.

Oregan State (10-19, 4-13) inbounded the ball but turned it over as time ran out.

Mason and Tommy Smith each scored 12 points to lead Sun Devils. Jason Heide led Oregon State with 16 points.

Arizona State scored the first 10 points of the opening half. Led by 12 points from Heide, Oregon State quickly recovered and was on top 31-30 at halftime.

There were 11 lead changes in the second half. Arizona State took the lead for good on a 3-pointer by Brad Nahra to put the Sun Devils up 49-48 with 7:28 left. A 3-pointer by Oregon State's Adam Masten with 38 seconds left tied the game at 59.

Nahra added 11 points for Arizona State. Masten had 14 and Josh Steinthal had 11 for Oregon State.
