CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Awvee Storey scored 17 points to lead Arizona State to a 73-58 victory over Oregon State Thursday night. The 15-point margin was the largest victory margin by a Sun Devil squad in a road game since a 93-75 win at Oregon State on Jan. 27, 1996.

Jason Heide led Oregon State (8-12, 2-6 Pac-10) with 18 points.

Arizona State (9-10, 1-7) snapped a seven game losing streak in picking up its first conference win of the season. The Sun Devils placed five players in double figures in scoring for just the third time this year. ASU also had five players in double digits in home wins over Southern Utah and Charlotte.

A layup by Adam Masten with 6:13 remaining moved the Beavers to within 50-46, but Oregon State would get no closer.

Donnell Knight's steal and dunk pushed the Sun Devils' advantage to 69-54 with 1:56 left in the game.

Arizona State ran out to a 10-4 lead before Oregon State went on a 6-0 run to tie the score at 10-10 with 8:13 remaining in the first half.

Tommy Smith had 10 points and matched a career-high with eight rebounds and played a career-high 28 minutes. ASU is now 13-4 against the Beavers in the past nine years and has won three of the past four in Corvallis.
