TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Eddie House scored 25 points as Arizona State rolled to an 81-64 victory over Washington State on Saturday.
The victory was the third straight for the Sun Devils (11-4, 3-1 Pac-10) and their seventh in the last eight games.
Washington State (0-4, 5-8) lost its fifth in a row.
House, who tied a conference record with 61 points Jan. 8 at California, entered the game averaging 36 points a game in his last seven outings.
He scored 12 points in the first five minutes before Washington State switched to a triangle-and-two defense, meaning House was hounded constantly by two Cougars.
At the time, Arizona State led 16-8. The move backfired as other Sun Devils found themselves open and Washington State trailed 43-25 at halftime.
The Cougars cut the deficit to 51-41 seven minutes into the second half, but Arizona State countered with a nine-point run to pull away.
Awvee Storey and Shawn Redhage each finished with 16 points for the Sun Devils.
Chris Crosby scored 18 and Mike Bush 15 to pace Washington State.
