STANFORD, Calif. -- Ninth-ranked Arizona State women's tennis team fell to top-ranked Stanford 7-1 this afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Center. The win drops the Sun Devils to an 11-7 overall record, 3-4 in the Pac-10. Stanford remains undefeated with a 23-0 mark overall, 6-0 in league play.

In singles competition, junior Karin Palme scored the only point for the Sun Devils when she defeated 47th-ranked Teryn Ashley on court two. She topped the Cardinal in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.

In only her second match since returning from injury, 15th-ranked Allison Bradshaw lost on court one to second-ranked Marissa Irvin, but became only the second person this season to take the Cardinal sophomore to three sets.

Arizona State next travels to Arizona to wrap up its Pac-10 and regular season schedule. The match will take place in Tucson on Sat., April 22 at 1 p.m.
