Box Score

LOS ANGELES - Seventh-ranked Arizona State women's tennis fell to 12th-ranked USC 6-3 at Marks Tennis Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif., this afternoon. The loss drops the Sun Devils' overall record to 10-3 and their conference mark to 3-2. The Women of Troy improve to 10-3 overall, 4-2 in Pac-10 play.

Down 4-2 after singles play, ASU couldn't manage a must-have doubles sweep as Karin Palme and Kerry Giardino were the only doubles winners for the Lady Devils, defeating Jewel Peterson and Jacqui Boyd 8-4 on court three. Palme and Giardino are undefeated as a doubles tandem this season.

Arizona State will not compete next weekend as classes are suspended for Spring Break. The Sun Devils' next match is against non-conference opponent and 10th-ranked Texas on March 25 in Austin, Texas. The dual match will begin at noon CST.
