Former Sun Devil Andrew Beinbrink (1996-99) had a 3-for-4 night at the plate as the ASU alumni team picked up a 10-6 win tonight at Packard Stadium.
The alumni team amassed 10 runs on 14 hits while holding the current Sun Devils to six runs on seven hits. Dan McKinley (1995-97), Willie Bloomquist (1997-99) and Dan Meier (1998) added two hits each for the alumni.
ASU freshman Bryce Kartler led the current Sun Devils with a 2-for-3 effort at the plate adding two RBI and a run scored. Outfielder Mel Stocker notched two stolen bases on the evening.
Current major leaguer Doug Henry (1983-85) threw a perfect inning for the alumni in relief.
Eddie Bane's jersey was retired in a pre-game ceremony honoring the only Sun Devil pitcher to throw a perfect game.
