TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State women's basketball team lost to SBC Prerov of the Czech Republic 85-76 in their first exhibition game Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

The Sun Devils were led by center Rachel Holt's 13 points. Guards Kitch Kitchen and Natalie Tucker had 11 points each. Kitchen also had seven rebounds and led the team with eight assists. Forward Theresa Jantzen paced the team with 11 rebounds.

The Czech Republic had four players put up double figures in scoring and were led by forward Petra Prochazkova's 23 points. Guard Jana Stejskalova had 21 points. Guard Jana Hradilova had 11 points and five rebounds and forward Kamila Hlavackova had 10 points and also five rebounds. Krystofova led the team with six rebounds and Petra Cehcova lead the team with six assists.

The Sun Devils put together a run late in the second half to come within seven points with 13 seconds remaining in the game, but were unable to complete their comeback.

ASU is next in action in its final exhibition game against the New Zealand National Team Saturday, November 13 at 1 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Arena.
