Stanford's Logan Tom pounded out a match-high 24 kills as second-ranked Stanford defeated Arizona State, 3-1 tonight before a crowd of 1, 022 at Wells Fargo Arena. Game scores were 15-11, 15-7, 13-15, 15-8.

Arizona State was led by sophomore Robyn Mattingly's 14 kills and junior Amanda Burbridge's 13. Setter Becky Sidoti tallied a team-high 11 digs and three service aces. Laura Hibsman led the squad with four block assists.

The Cardinal outhit the Devils .297 to .147 on the night. Stanford's 20 total blocks is a season high and ranks third this year in the Pac-10. Four players ended the night in double figures in kills including Jennifer Detmer (13), Kerrie Walsh (11) and Tara Conrad (11). Setter Lindsay Kagawa notched 61 assists and a match-high 18 digs.

Tonight's match was No. 500 for Stanford coach Don Shaw.

The Sun Devils (12-11, 8-8) conclude conference play next week on the road with matches against Oregon and Oregon State.
