UCLA sophomore Kristee Porter notched a match-high 17 kills as the 6th-ranked Bruins defeated Arizona State, 3-0 tonight in Wells Fargo Arena. Game scores were 15-4, 15-11, 15-6.
For the Devils, junior outside hitter Amanda Burbridge led the team with eight kills while adding two block solos on the evening. Jami Coughlin added seven kills to the Devils cause as well as a team-high 10 digs. Defensive specialist Darice Smith tallied two service aces on the night.
For the Bruins, Ashley Bowles and Tamika Johnson added eight kills a piece on the night. Bowles led the team with eight digs as well. The Bruins outblocked ASU eight to five. Arizona State hosts #17 USC tomorrow night in the Wells Fargo Arena at 7:30 p.m. FOX Sports Arizona will broadcast the game on a tape-delayed basis on Saturday, October 23 at 1 p.m.
