Paced by junior outside hitter Amanda Burbridge's match-high 25 kills, the Arizona State volleyball team defeated California, 3-1, at the newly renovated Haas Pavilion. Game scores were 15-11, 15-6, 13-15, 15-9.

The Sun Devils got a career performance from senior middle blocker Laura Hibsman who tallied a career-high 24 kills for ASU as well as four blocks. Sophomore opposite hitter Jami Coughlin tied a career-high in digs with 24 on the night. Junior setter Becky Sidoti's 65 assists is a career-high as well. Senior middle blocker Jami Peck added 10 kills and a team-high six blocks as the Devils improved to 10-5 overall, 6-3 in the Pac-10.

As a team, ASU outhit the Golden Bears .214 to .132 and tallied 99 digs to Cal's 80. The 99 digs is a team-high for Arizona State this season. The Devils also notched 68 assists which ties a season-high as well.

For the Golden Bears, outside hitter Brook Coulter had a team-high 19 kills and 21 digs. Alicia Perry and Candace McNamee added 14 and 10 kills respectively.

ASU is next in action at home against UCLA on Thursday, October 21 at 7 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Arena. The Devils take on USC in the FOX Sports Net Game of the Week on Friday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m.
