DURHAM, N.C. - The Sun Devils' 4x100m relay placed fourth at the 2000 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, at Duke's Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, N.C.
Seniors Dwight Phillips, LaVell Robinson-Blanchard and Jim McGee grouped with junior Marcus Brunson as ASU placed in the relay, clocking a 39.16. Florida won the event in 38.35, while Southern Carolina (38.45) and LSU (39.07) finished ahead of the Devils.
Juniors Adrienne Judie and Kelly MacDonald were also in action today for the Devils' women's squad. Judie placed 11th in the shot put with a throw of 49-4.25 while MacDonald placed 12th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:37.08.
The Championships conclude tomorrow with two redshirt freshmen competing in distance events. Lisa Aguilera will race in the women's 1,500m. She posted a 4:20.93 in Thursday's preliminaries. Isaiah Festa will compete in the men's 5,000m. His season best time is a 13:54.20, the 19th best mark in the nation entering the meet.
