Men's Golf To Compete In Western Intercollegiate April 13-14

April 7, 2013

The Arizona State men’s golf team continues its run towards the Pac-12 Championship as it heads to Santa Cruz, Calif. for the Transamerica/WFG Western Intercollegiate next Saturday and Sunday, April 13th and 14th. The 6,615-yard, par 70 Pasatiempo Golf Course will hold the 36-hole tournament for the 67th time.

For ASU, Jon Rahm led the charge through the Thunderbird Invitational and looks to continue his recent success as one of the team leaders on the course.  Rahm fired a five-under par through the final two rounds of the Thunderbird and finished tied for 11th-place and climbed 13 spots on the leaderboard in the final round.

Other Sun Devils who recorded impressive final rounds include Brandon Cloete and Trey Kaahanui, whom both recorded rounds of three-under par 68 to finish out their tournament. The good play comes as a good time for a team looking for to make a final push towards the postseason.

Live scoring for the event will be available for the event at golfstat.com, as well as sjsuspartans.com. Both Saturday and Sunday will have a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. (PT).
