ASU Men Finish Seventh at Palmetto Dunes, Women Win
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State women's golf team shot a 12-over par 300 in the final round of the GOLF WORLD/Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head, South Carolina to win the tournament by three shots over Arizona (306).
Leading the Devils individually was freshman Grace Park and senior Kellee Booth who both finished the tournament tied for fourth at seven-over par. Park shot a round of one-over par 73 on the final day, while Booth shot a 74. Senior Jeanne-Marie Busuttill, junior Keri Cornelius and junior Tui Selvaratnam all finished tied for 12th at 11-over par to round out the scores for the Devils. On the final day, Busutill shot a 76, Cornelius shot a 78 and Selvaratnam shot a 77.
The men's golf team finished the tournament in seventh place, shooting a seven-over par 295 on the final day. The Devils finished 16 shots behind tournament winner TCU (289).
Leading the Devils individually was freshman Jeff Quinney who finished tied for sixth after shooting even par on the final day. Quinney finished four-under for the tournament. Also helping the Devils was freshman Paul Casey who finished the tournament at even par, after a final round of three-over par 75 placing him tied for 20th. Junior Darren Angel finished tied for 31st at two-over par.
