Men's Golf 12th In Latest Coaches Poll

The Arizona State men's golf team is ranked 12th in the most recent GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll. Oklahoma State earned 14 first-place votes to hold on to the top ranking, while Georgia Tech won its first tournament of the season - the Puerto Rico Classic - to move into second with five first-place tallies.

Georgia dropped to third despite receiving two first-place votes - matching its lowest ranking of the season. New Mexico grabbed the remaining three first-place ballots to stay in fourth for the fourth-straight poll. Auburn also stayed at fifth for the second-consecutive ranking. Wake Forest remained at sixth where it is joined by Southern California, who moved up one spot. Brigham Young and TCU swapped places to eighth and ninth, respectively. Florida made the poll's biggest move, jumping eight spots to No. 10. It marks Florida's first appearance in the 10 since the Oct. 21 ranking.

Texas and Arizona State each dropped one spot to Nos. 11 and 12, respectively. UCLA comes in at No. 13 and is followed by Michigan State, UNLV and Augusta State. Duke took the biggest tumble in the poll, falling five rungs to No. 17. Clemson slipped one ranking to No. 18 while Tennessee and Minnesota climbed into the top 20.

Arizona moved up two spots to No. 21 and is followed by Kentucky, Washington, Kent State and Georgia State.

The GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the Golf Coaches Association of America. The next Division I GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll will be released March 25.
