ASU Defeats Marathon In First Exhibition Game
Lazor contributes a men's basketball team high of 17 rebounds.

TEMPE, Ariz. --The Arizona State men's basketball team defeated Marathon Oil 92-86 in their first exhibition game tonight at Wells Fargo Arena.
Junior Eddie House, who is recovering from a broken jaw sustained two weeks ago, led the way for the Sun Devils, scoring 37 points. Senior Bobby Lazor also contributed with a team high 17 rebounds and 31 points. Junior Okeme Oziwo, who appeared in his first game in a year due to missing the 1997 season because of injury, contributed to the victory with 10 rebounds. Sophomore Alton Mason had five assists for the Sun Devils.
The Marathon team was led by Jerald Reiner who scored 19 points and had six assists. Ken Roberts grabbed eight rebounds for Marathon.
The Devils face the Lithuania Team next on Monday, November 9 at 7:00p.m. for their second and final exhibition game of the season. ASU opens their regular season against San Jose State on Friday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
