Max Rottluff Leads @ASUMensGolf In Pullman

Pullman, Wash. – Junior Max Rottluff finished tied for sixth at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash. After finishing 36 holes tied for fourth on Monday (Sept. 29), the Sun Devils finished the final round on Tuesday (Sept. 30) in sixth. 

Leading the team was junior Max Rottluff, finishing with an impressive 1-under 69 in the third round. Rottluff had one the best rounds of the day as he finished sixth with a 3-under 207 (68-70-69). With windy conditions, the average score of the 75 golfers was only 75.37 through the final 18 holes and Rottluff was one of only two to finish round 1-under par. This accounts for Rottluff’s third-best finish and his eighth top-10 finish.

After finishing day one with a 5-under 135 through two rounds, sophomore Ki Taek Lee finished two with a 5-over 75. Lee finished at Pullman tied for fifteenth with even par-210. Right behind Lee was junior Jon Rahm, who finished tied for nineteenth with a 1-under 211. Competing as individual was junior Alberto Sanchez, who finished tied for 34th (66-70-79).

After Tuesday’s rounds, Oregon placed first as their team finished with a 6-under 834. Taking second was Southern California as they also finished the tournament with a 6-under 834 and third was California with a 3-under 837. On the leader board, California’s Cameron Shaw and Washington State’s Sang Lee finished tied for first among 75 golfers with a 6-under 204.
