TEMPE, Ariz. -- Playing on her home course for the last time, senior Kellee Booth made it count, winning the individual title at the PING/ASU Invitational this afternoon at Karsten Golf Course. She shot one-under par (72-73-70--215) for the tournament. As a team, the Sun Devils finished fourth (296-303-293--892).
Stanford's Hilary Homeyer also scored a 215 for the three rounds, but final places were determined by a scorecard playoff. The Cardinal did take home the top honor in team play, shooting rounds of 290, 291 and 291. Rounding out the top five teams are San Jose State (878), Arizona (888) and Oregon (900).
Behind Booth for the Sun Devils was freshman Grace Park, who shot a one-under par today to tie for fourth place at a two-over 218 (72-75-71). Junior Tui Selvaratnum finished tied at 28th (75-77-76--228), junior Keri Cornelius placed in a tie for 47th (77-80-76--233) and senior Jeanne-Marie Busuttil (84-78-76--238) placed 65th.
Up next for the Sun Devils are the Pac-10 Championships, April 20-22 at Southern California's Tijeras Creek Golf Course.
