Carlota Ciganda of the Arizona State women's golf team and Elina Eggers of the Arizona State women's diving team have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic-All-American Women's At-Large Team. Both Ciganda and Eggers received third-team accolades as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Ciganda currently boasts a 3.92 grade point average in Interdisciplinary Studies. Only a sophomore, Ciganda has shown to be one of the greats among the prestigious Sun Devil women's golf program. She became the first back-to-back Pac-10 Champion this season after defeating teammate Juliana Murcia on a playoff hole. In her first season of competition, Eggers carried on the tradition of ASU diving in a spectacular fashion. She was the lone Pac-10 diver to medal on each event, including a gold on the 10-meter platform. At the NCAA Championships, she finished fourth on the tower to earn All-American honors. Additionally, Eggers was named Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year and set ASU records on both the 3-meter and platform. She currently carries a 4.0 in Business.
