TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Football senior wide receiver D.J. Foster has been named a 2015 Preseason Third-Team All-American by Athlon Sports, the publication announced Tuesday.
Foster, the only active Football Bowl Subdivision student-athlete to account for more than 1,500 career rushing yards and 1,500 career receiving yards, earned a spot on the All-America team as an all-purpose player.
A total of 12 Sun Devils were named to the Athlon Sports All-Pac-12 team, tied with Oregon for the second-most selections in the conference.
Foster and redshirt senior Jordan Simone earned first-team nods at all-purpose and safety, respectively. Five Devils were named to the second team, including redshirt senior cornerback Lloyd Carrington, redshirt junior linebacker Laiu Moeakiola, sophomore defensive lineman Tashon Smallwood, and redshirt senior offensive lineman Christian Westerman . Senior center Nick Kelly and sophomore running back Demario Richard picked up third team honors, and senior cornerback Kweishi Brown, junior punter Matt Haack and redshirt senior offensive lineman Vi Teofilo garnered fourth team recognition.
Six Sun Devils earned 2014 All-Pac-12 honors from Athlon Sports, including Foster, who earned first team recognition, and Kelly and Gonzalez, who were each on the second team. Nine Sun Devils were named to the 2014 Athlon Sports Preseason All-Pac-12 team.

Sun Devil Football’s 2015 campaign begins on Sept. 5 against Texas A&M in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff Classic at NRG Stadium in Houston. ASU’s seven-game home schedule includes Pac-12 South foe USC, defending Pac-12 Champion Oregon and the Territorial Cup. The Devils return 17 starters from last season’s team that closed out the year with consecutive 10-win seasons for the first time since 1972-73, a victory in the Hyundai Sun Bowl and a No. 12 ranking in the final Associated Press poll.
New Season Tickets for the 2015 Season
To reserve your spot in line for new season tickets for the 2015 Football season, you can place a non-refundable deposit of $100 per seat by calling 480-965-5812. The deposit will go towards your total ticket purchase once new season tickets are available. Fans who place a deposit will get to pick their seats prior to the general public, but after last season’s season ticket holders and mini-plan purchasers. If you were a season ticket holder in the 2014 Football season, you do not need to place a deposit for the upcoming season.
