Kealy Gets Starting Nod
Redshirt freshman Ryan Kealy has been named the starting quarterback for the Sun Devils season-opener this Saturday against New Mexico State. Head coach Bruce Snyder gave Kealy the starting nod over junior Steve Campbell after the two entered camp even on the depth chart.
Both quarterbacks will see time in the opener. Another redshirt freshman, Victor Leyva, will become the first freshman to start on the offensive line in game one since Randall McDaniel started as arookie in 1984.
